CDBRINKM | Dolly Zoom in VR

The Dolly Zoom effect is a well-known and used technique in cinema and film. With the up and coming field of Virtual Reality (VR), the goal of our research was to experiment with the Dolly Zoom effect in virtual reality and to see if a historical approach to cinematic spectacle can survive in the new field of embodied vision technologies. The main question in our research was whether it is possible to simulate the Dolly Zoom effect and its sensation in virtual reality.
